Norbury Park home is an independent organisation which has been established to provide a safe and stable home for extremely vulnerable children with challenging behaviours and mental health difficulties. Our goal is to influence their prospects and enable them to live the most independent and fulfilled life that they can within a nurturing environment. We provide a bespoke service where our residents have access to 1:1 support with qualified therapists, mentor services, education tutors and careers advisors. It is important to us that our children can have access to the necessary support in house which will allow them the best chance of success.

OUR CHILDREN
The young people we work with have complex needs and require additional support.
Our staff are experienced at dealing with challenging behaviours such as:
Physical aggression/aggressive tendencies e.g. kicking, punching, spitting or biting
Verbal aggression
Arson and arson attempts
Absconding
Bullying
Gang involvement
Self-harm
Suicidal tendencies
Depression
Anxiety
Eating disorders

Our young residents may have the following (but not limited to):
Attention Deficits Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Autism (Including ASD and PDA)
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)

SERVICES AND SUPPORT
Norbury Park is accredited in 'trauma informed care' and staff work within the parameters of the informed trauma guidelines. This helps counteract the effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACE’s). We believe we can support some of the challenges that some of our young people may have encountered, including difficulties with mental and physical health. We believe that this will help to build our young people’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth.
